Tom Greany, Chief Operating Officer

Tom's dual background in systems engineering and dentistry led to his vision for optimized dental benefits delivery and Web-based health learning systems. As an engineer, he spent six years working on many exciting projects—including the YF-22 advanced tactical fighter aircraft, on medical devices, consumer products, and in systems optimization. After developing an interest in health care, he attended dental school.
In 1998, Tom founded a general dentistry practice in Louisville, Colorado, and grew the practice over the next decade, selling it in 2007 to focus on development projects at Symbyos, which he co-founded in 2001.
He was awarded a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, after completing formal training in the surgical and restorative phases of implant dentistry through the University of Miami (Florida). He placed and restored dental implants in private practice from 2002 through 2007.
In 2007, he undertook an intensive year-long review of the current medical and dental literature, which resulted in the development of ToothIQ.com. Under his guidance, the site has become internationally certified as a trustworthy source of dental information. Tom has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received several awards.
